Wow, we are half way into this new eating plan and “WOW” is all I have to say.  It’s been a GREAT ride so far.  SO, many great reports from clients doing the challenge.  I am feeling terrific, full of energy, like I needed more right?  I’m sleeping great and waking up easily and with energy! Imagine that????

These changes definitely take work, but not much more than I was doing before. I mean, I had to prepare 3 meals a day before I started this, and I have to prepare 3 meals a day now.  The nutritional potency is much better and I definitely feel the difference. If you are finding yourself interested in trying this, soon I will be supporting two more groups on this journey.

The next group to embark on this challenge will be primarily a group from Jack in the Box Corporate Headquarters, where I manage their in-house gym and fitness programs. Yes, can you believe I get to do this with Jack In the Box Corp?  It’s a great challenge, especially since I compete with an In-House Jack in the Box Restaurant!!!! Of course, anyone can jump in, it’s your journey.  This just happens to be our next group.  Dates for this Challenge are Oct 1-30.

On October 12 another 30 Day Challenge will begin, which means you have two opportunities to jump on board in getting yourself “re-set” for healthier living.

One of my clients asked me yesterday, ” How’s it going?” I proceeded to tell him all the things that were going well, some of the challenges, but generally sharing how good I feel.  He then said to me, ” Wow that sounds really hard to do, to cut out all those foods from your diet. Tell me Debbie, what do you look forward to?”  He was asking what I looked forward to regarding foods I was eating.  I paused for a moment and thought about the question. Food did not come to my mind first.  I then took another moment recalling the foods I had chosen to eat the past few days.  As I pondered this, he said, “Well, that answers that! There must not be much!”  I laughed and then felt a bit compelled to give my favorite food answer.  So, I answered, ” I love cashews and I have been eating cashews and cashew butter and I really enjoy that.”  But what was happening inside was very interesting.  Following that session a had a few more moments to think about his question.  As I drove to my next client, I realized that it wasn’t about food! I had many things that I looked forward to during this challenge. But what I looked forward to had nothing to do with food.  I began to answer his question out loud in my car, to only me, which is fine now because everyone talks in the car and we all look like we are talking to ourselves whether we are or not!  I like that part about Bluetooth! We all look and act crazy now!

So here is what came up of me:
“I look forward to a full nights sleep.”
“I look forward to waking up feeling good.”
“I look forward to a full day with energy.”
“I look forward to an evening with teenagers because I have more patience!”  REALLY!!!!

These are the things that I look forward to on this journey.  It’s not about the food.  But the joy and satisfaction in the way I feel.  The food is terrific. I love to cook and have enjoyed the creative process in making new things. But the way I feel far surpasses the challenges of eliminating some food choices.

Here are some more wonderful ideas, more of the foods we all are enjoying!!!
